Ghost Core v0.19.2.0
Network, Fixes, and Major Improvements
In this major release we are excited introduce a modified deterministic masternodes system (20k+ “Ghost Veterans”) into Ghost Core based upon the Dash masternode implementation as service nodes. This unique addition to the core will provide Ghost with improved network performance, reliability, and set the stage for further development into public API systems that can utilize Ghost encrypted SMSG message functionality.
This does not affect the existing block reward structure that we set (2 for dev, 4 for stakers, 6 for “Ghost Veterans”). However, this will change the way Ghost Veterans 20k+ earn rewards and the requirements to be included in them. Documentation, similar to our VPS setup guide, will be provided for 20k+ holders on how to start earning rewards will be provided.

sendmany
duplicate key fix
Changes made by Particl team did not include checks for duplicate addresses insendmany
. Which would result in incorrect amounts being sent to duplicate addresses, pretty severe issues with the rpc command that was patched. (we notified the Particl dev team privately mentioning the issue)

Ghost Core integration into trustwallet/wallet-core library
The current process for Ghost to be added to third party wallets (desktop and mobile) is very difficult and time consuming for their teams. This isn’t how it should be. Companies that want to add Ghost to their wallet should be a very simple process. That is why we’ve taken the steps to integrate with a well adopted cross-blockchain wallet library created by Trust Wallet called wallet-core
.
We will be submitting Ghost to wallet-core
and potentially list on Trust wallet if they wish to (it would be very easy since the integration would already be complete) along with any and all applications, wallets that utilize this library.

SMSG REST API
SMSG is actually a very interesting concept. It enables sending public and anonymous messages between wallets on the Ghost network. This functionality can then be utilized for many different uses cases such a marketplace for example, a chat application, games, etc.
Despite it’s many use cases there isn’t proper tooling or documentation for developers to build on top of this feature. We have decided to invest time into building a well documented open source JSON web based REST API. This will allow new use cases and ideas from community developers to surge to build into their own applications. In the very near future for the development team will utilize this same technology to build the Ghost Marketplace.
