In accordance with our interim governance model, on January 7th at 7:30pm ET a 24 hour “Quick Vote” was initiated in the Ghost Veteran telegram room. All vets were painstakingly re-verified this week by our longtime Security Officer, @test_net_online, to ensure they were still vets, and all inactive vets were removed from the room prior to the opening of voting.
The result of the vote is as follows:
▪️30 vets voted to elect these new temp custodians
▪️0 vets voted to not elect them
▪️1 vet abstained from voting
There were 32 verified vets in the room.
This overwhelming result is a remarkable repudiation of the ex-custodians.
Introducing our new temporary custodians:
♦️ @GhostVeterans — has been working tirelessly with the team to initiate further development of Ghost on multiple fronts these last few months, especially on automation of Ghost Veteran Rewards (GVR), Bitfi hardware wallet integration, and on-chain governance. He also created the very informative ghostveterans.com website. His objective is to ensure that Ghost stays true to its core values of being decentralized, unstoppable and private.
♦️ @Tizymandias — Is well regarded by all active Ghost community members as an ever-present source of truth for the project. His true-north orientation has been instrumental during many of the most challenging moments, and also a well-needed voice of dissent during hot debates. His focus on increasing the decentralization of Ghost can be observed through the efforts to create an on-chain governance model and support for GVR automation, among other things.
♦️ @test_net_online — trusted by the community since Ghost’s inception to verify eligibility of all Ghost Veterans entering the Ghost Vet chat. Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the chatroom. They are a very passionate member of our community and have created community enhancing assets such as the Ghost Marketing team and Network Integrity solutions.
🔸 All three of the above temporary custodians have committed to allocating funds (as a high priority) towards further adaptation of Ghost’s core & to be the first privacy coin with it’s own stablecoin. The stablecoin project will be initiated as soon as it is feasible to do so after critical Ghost infrastructure deliverables have been executed successfully. Futhermore, Ghost is looking to add Dandelion++ to its codebase to further obfuscate the origins of transactions.
